Yoga with Lucy Broome

Lucy Broome has been practicing yoga since 1996 and teaching since 2003. Her teaching style is a graceful integration of personal experience within a range of hatha yoga traditions.

Lucy's yoga journey began in 1997 with the Lazenby School of Yoga where she was a committed student for about three years until leaving Melbourne in 2000. Whilst working and travelling between 2000 and 2003, out of necessity Lucy began to develop her own yoga practice and when she arrived in India was compelled to undertake four months of advanced yogic studies with Swami Venkatesh of the Atma Vikasa School in Mysore. She has spent time in both the Sivananda and Satyananda Ashrams and continues to attend workshops with local and visiting teachers from around the world including Donna Farhi, Diane Long (Scaravelli Yoga), Prahlad (Sakshin Ghatashta Yoga), Paul Wooden (Gertrude Street Yoga Studio), Simon Borg-Oliver (Yoga Synergy), T.K.V Desikachar (Krishnamacharya Yoga) and Odelia Wineberg (Vijnana yoga). She has completed a 'Yoga for Arthritis' course with Dr Daniel Lewis of the Lewis Institute and appropriate yoga postures for pregnancy with Jodie Gregson.

In 2011, Lucy completed both the Foundation and the Advanced courses with Zenergy Yoga for Kids. Lucy's intention in teaching children's yoga is to sew the seeds of self-knowledge, love and awareness in the hearts and minds of children that they may grow into their true potential throughout life. Children respond even faster than adults to the benefits of yoga and Lucy is really excited about being able to offer the joy of yoga to every age group.

Lucy is fully insured with OAMPS and a member of the YTAA.
